Wolfgang Pech, senior vice president at Deutsche Messe AG, and Cavas Dumasia, joint secretary of the Society of Indian Materials Handling Equipment Manufacturers, arrange a close cooperation for CeMAT INDIA
Hannover/New Delhi. Hannover Milano Fairs India Pvt Ltd announced that the Society of Indian Materials Handling Equipment Manufacturers (SIMHEM) will co-organize CeMAT INDIA 2016, India’s leading trade fair for intralogistics and supply chain management. The partnership was finalized at CeMAT 2016 in Hannover, Germany. CeMAT INDIA 2016 is scheduled from 1 to 3 December at the MMRDA Exhibition Grounds in Mumbai.
SIMHEM’s members represent India’s leading materials handling manufacturing companies. Together SIMHEM and CeMAT INDIA will work to advance India’s intralogistics industry by introducing innovation and new technology. At CeMAT INDIA 2016, SIMHEM will stage a workshop on materials handling technology and supply chain management as well as co-organize the Smart Solutions Display, which showcases the role of materials handling and logistics in today’s increasingly digitalized and integrated industrial value chains.
“CeMAT INDIA is a one-stop shop for fast-growing sectors such as automotive, e-commerce, food processing, manufacturing, retail, and pharmaceuticals. Buyers come from all over India to find the latest intralogistics and warehousing solutions,” said Wolfgang Pech, senior vice president at Deutsche Messe AG. “Our partnership with SIMHEM shares the common objective of promoting India’s materials handling industry and will attract further participation from the industry while bringing together suppliers and buyers.”

CeMAT INDIA 2016 will host such companies as Carlstahl Craftsman, Godrej & Boyce, Hi-Tech Robotic Systemz, Jungheinrich, Kompress India, Nash Robotics & Automatio, Puma Lift Trucks, and Su-Mech Storage Systems. Highlights include the CeMAT Application Park, which demonstrates a smart warehouse in action, and the Procurement and Supply Chain Management Conference, which is organized by the Institute of Supply Chain Management.
CeMAT INDIA is organized by Hannover Milano Fairs India Pvt Ltd, Deutsche Messe’s subsidiary in India, and belongs to Deutsche Messe’s CeMAT Worldwide portfolio, which includes events in Australia, Brazil, China, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Russia, and Turkey, and the United States.
