CeBIT brand to premiere in Latin America with BITS Mexico
BITS Mexico premieres from 15 to 17 November 2017 at the Centro Banamex exhibition center in Mexico City. The new event is the latest step in Deutsche Messe’s ongoing strategy for the vitally important Latin American trade fair market, and further expands the reach of the company’s core field of ICT & Digital Business, for which the CeBIT show in Hannover, Germany is the international flagship. The company plans to leverage BITS Mexico to expand its ICT & Digital Business offering in Central America and Latin America as a whole.
Mexico has an open and market-oriented economy that benefits considerably from geographic proximity to the USA and relatively low labor costs. These two factors are an important part of the country’s economic development strategy. Mexico has a well-developed and robust ICT infrastructure and steadily increasing Internet usage rates. Moreover, its IT industry is in growth mode. Expanding at a 14 percent annually, it is developing faster now than at any time in the past 10 years. Mexico is also a key investment location for software projects in Latin America.
Against this background, BITS Mexico will leverage the highly attractive Mexican market and its steadily growing importance as a springboard for exports to North and Central America. The ICT trade show is organized by Deutsche Messe in partnership with the trade fair operator “Trade Show Factory” and will be held annually, starting in November 2017. Its exhibition portfolio is very broad, encompassing such topics as Big Data, Cloud, eCommerce, CRM/CRP, Data Centers, Security, Electronics, Social Media and Audio/Video & Printing.
BITS Mexico is supported by multiple leading Mexican industry associations including AMITI (Mexican IT Industry Association), CANIETI (National Chamber of the Electronics, IT and Telecommunications Industry), AMIPCI (Mexican Internet Association), CANACINTRA (National Chamber of the Process Industry), and EMAAC (Mexico-Germany Business Association).
