TWENTY2X will not take place in 2020
Malware, ransomware, viruses and phishing e-mails – the list of cyber security threats faced by businesses, institutions and individuals is long and growing all the time. F-Secure IT security expert Mikko Hypponen will be explaining the latest threats on the Net and how to safeguard against them when he takes the stage at CEBIT 2018 in Hannover, Germany, in June of next year.
Hypponen has a strong interest in the Internet of “smart” Things and makes the point on F-Secure’s blog Safe and Savvy that all IT security vulnerabilities “…stem from a basic fact of computing: if something can be programmed, it can be hacked.”
Hypponen is a world-renowned computer security expert and the Chief Research Officer of F-Secure, a Finnish cyber security company. He has written about his research for The New York Times, Wired and Scientific American, has lectured at Oxford, Stanford and Cambridge universities, and ranks among Foreign Policy magazine’s Top 100 Global Thinkers.
Hypponen is also the curator of the “Malware Museum” on the Internet Archive. The museum is an online repository of malware programs – now removed of their destructive capacity – that were distributed in the 1980s and 1990s on home computers.
